Privacy notice
Draft — not yet effective. Version 2026-10-29.1-draft. Proposed effective date: 29 October 2026.
Controller and scope
This notice concerns Converted and the Converted pages of undercurrent-network.digital. The service is based in Italy. Its controller’s legal identity and address are still being completed; the name Converted is a service brand, not an identified legal entity. Privacy and service contact: access@undercurrent-network.digital. Other Undercurrent projects have separate functions and data flows; this notice does not describe all of their processing.
Account, eligibility and legal records
Supabase Auth processes your email, password credentials, email confirmation, recovery and session data. The application profile contains your user identifier, email, display name and creation time. The birth date you submit is checked on the server against the configured product minimum of 16 completed years. It is not saved in the application’s profile, legal evidence or analytics. We retain the eligibility outcome, the rule applied and the fact that the date was self-declared. Self-declaration is not certain proof of age.
Legal evidence records the user identifier, server time, document versions and hashes, language, registration channel, age rule, contractual acceptance and acknowledgement of this notice. This acknowledgement is not general consent to processing. The application does not add IP addresses or user agents to this evidence. Infrastructure providers may process connection data in their operational logs.
Files, history and links
Native conversion and audio editing engines process file content on the PC; the inspected app does not upload source file contents to the Converted database. Source files remain on your PC and outputs are saved locally. Conversion components may create working or preview files. There is no centrally enforced deletion deadline for files on your device; you control their deletion.
For account-based conversions, the cloud stores file and output basenames, source and target formats, file sizes, conversion engine and app version, status, time, duration and error codes. A basename can contain personal information. Full local paths are rejected by the conversion API. Link downloads contact YouTube and its content-delivery servers; those services receive connection information under their own policies. The application’s database records the conversion profile and output metadata, not the downloaded file content.
Reviews and support
Submitted reviews contain the account reference, chosen public author name, rating, text and moderation timestamps. Approved reviews are public; other reviews are available to administrators. Support email contains what you send us. Do not send passwords or unnecessary sensitive files.
Purposes and legal bases
The proposed bases are GDPR Article 6(1)(b) for providing requested account and conversion services, and Article 6(1)(f) for proportionate security, misuse prevention, service diagnostics, moderation and maintaining evidence of the applicable service conditions. Legal obligations may require specific records under Article 6(1)(c). The corresponding legitimate interests, balancing assessment and any applicable obligations must be finalized by the identified controller. Optional marketing or profiling is not enabled by accepting the terms. The 16-year product rule is distinct from the consent rules in GDPR Article 8 and Italy’s Article 2-quinquies.
Recipients and international processing
Supabase supplies authentication and database hosting; the configured database region is Europe/Zurich. Vercel hosts the site, Resend delivers authentication emails, and GitHub distributes installers and updates. Conversion components and YouTube are contacted when their respective features are used. Their infrastructure and subprocessors can involve other countries. The controller must confirm the applicable processor agreements, locations and transfer safeguards before this notice is finalized; a European database region alone does not establish that all processing remains in the EEA.
Retention and deletion
Account and conversion history currently remain in the database until deletion or maintenance; the inspected system has no established automatic age-based deletion schedule for these records. The account deletion relation removes its application records and acceptance evidence. Temporary registration intents expire after 10 minutes and desktop handoff codes after at most 10 minutes; expired entries cannot be used and are purged during new requests and by the configured maintenance job when deployed. Provider log and backup retention is governed by their configuration and agreements and still needs verification.
Final retention periods, a schedule for unconfirmed identities, support email retention and any justified legal-evidence retention after account deletion must be decided and documented before activation. This draft does not promise immediate deletion from backups or a currently unimplemented retention period.
Storage and metrics
The site uses necessary session storage, language and theme preferences. The Windows app stores its session protected with Windows DPAPI. See the cookie policy and permanent cookie-preferences link. No optional advertising pixel or external analytics SDK is enabled in the Converted pages inspected for this release. Administrative usage reports aggregate existing conversion records by date, format and result, excluding file names, email, birth date, file content, passwords and tokens from the reports. These reports are not described as automatically exempt analytics.
Your rights
Subject to the conditions in applicable law, you may request access, correction, erasure, restriction, portability and object to processing based on legitimate interests. If a future optional treatment relies on consent, you may withdraw it without affecting earlier lawful processing. Contact access@undercurrent-network.digital; we may need proportionate information to verify your request. You may complain to the Italian Garante (garanteprivacy.it) or the competent supervisory authority. Providing the required account and eligibility information is necessary for account-based tools; an incomplete registration cannot use them. No automated decision with legal or similarly significant effects is implemented beyond the declared product-age access check.
