Convert MP4 to MP3 from the video’s folder

When you need listening rather than viewing, Converted extracts the video’s audio into a separate MP3. The video is processed on your PC, without a converter-site upload.

Requires Windows x64, configured FFmpeg, a confirmed Converted account, Internet and one available credit. It is reserved before processing and charged only on completion.

How to convert MP4 to MP3

  1. Install Converted, sign in and configure FFmpeg in settings.
  2. Right-click the MP4 and choose “Convert with Converted”.
  3. Select MP3 to extract and re-encode the audio.
  4. Open the new MP3 beside the video and listen back.

One audio track is used

Converted selects the MP4’s first audio track. A video with several languages does not offer a track selector here.

A new format cannot restore detail

MP3 uses lossy compression. Extraction does not improve a poor recording or recover detail removed by earlier compression.

The video is preserved

The original MP4 stays unchanged. The result keeps its name with .mp3; an existing filename gets a numbered suffix.

Questions about MP4 and MP3

What if the video has no audio?

Extraction fails. The reserved credit is refunded, with a possible delay if synchronization is needed.

Is FFmpeg included?

FFmpeg must be available on your PC. Select its executable in settings if it is not detected.
