Convert PDF text to DOCX

Use this conversion to work with a PDF’s words, not reproduce its pages. Converted collects selectable text into a simple Word document.

The PDF component is included. Requires Windows x64, a confirmed Converted account, Internet and one available credit, reserved before processing and charged on completion.

How to convert PDF to DOCX

  1. Open the PDF and check that its text can be selected.
  2. After signing in, right-click the PDF; choose “Convert with Converted”.
  3. Choose DOCX from the format picker.
  4. Open the DOCX beside the original; check text and reading order.

Extraction, not reconstruction

The result does not recreate the PDF’s layout, images or tables. Expect to review formatting before sharing the DOCX.

Scans and mixed documents

OCR is not included. Mixed documents yield only existing text; words contained solely in images are not recognized.

A separate file, with limits

Extraction supports up to 1,000 pages and 20 million characters. The PDF is preserved; an existing DOCX filename gets a number.
